The project
The National Truffle Study Center in Alba turned to KNOBS to address a key challenge: guaranteeing the authenticity and origin of truffles in a transparent and verifiable way, protecting consumers and enhancing one of Italy’s most prestigious agri-food excellences.
KNOBS designed and developed an innovative Web App that associates each truffle with a certified NFT registered on blockchain. This NFT acts as a digital certificate of origin and authenticity, instantly accessible via a QR code printed on a seal attached to the product.
The end-to-end solution includes development of the frontend, backend, smart contracts, and seal generation system, making the blockchain certification for truffles accessible even to users without a wallet, who can easily create one to store their certificates securely.
Results achieved
